Please see the letter below from George Hill regarding the troop fundraiser on Saturday, November 22nd.  We need as much help and support as we can that day especially from current scouts and scout families.  We have 13 active scouts in the troop and many of them are involved in the Burlington Christmas Parade that morning.  If you are a former scout or scout parent and can help, we would love to see you and have your help as well.

For everyone that can assist, please contact George Hill to let him know how and when you can assist.

Re:       Winter Wonderland Craft & Gift Show

The Winter Wonderland Craft & Gift Show will be held at the Mebane Arts and Community Center, 622 Corregidor Street, Mebane, NC 27302 on Saturday, November 22, 2025, from 8:30 AM - 3:00 PM.

The troop will hold a fundraiser at the event that consists of serving a light breakfast of doughnuts (from Paul’s Bakery) along with coffee and drinks as well as lunch which will consist of hamburgers, hotdogs, chips, soda, water, and coffee.  Lunch will start between 10:45 – 11:00 AM.  We will serve lunch until 2:30 PM.

We really need parents and scouts to assist us in this event. This is the troop’s major fundraising event of the year, and the funds will be used to supplement the cost of future troop outings and events.

Volunteers are needed to help in the kitchen, on the grill, taking orders and money, and monitoring the drink station.  Help is needed starting at 8:30 AM, but we need the most people once lunch starts at 10:45 AM until around 1:45 PM.  We will also need at least two (2) parents to help get the food and items to the Mebane Arts Center on Friday evening (5:00 – 6:30 PM).

If you can help, please text me (919-795-1951) or email me (sylveste...@yahoo.com) the hours you want to work.

We are also asking parents to contribute bakery goods such as cupcakes, cookies, and brownies to sell with the hotdogs and hamburgers.

Troop 39 is the oldest troop in Alamance County, and we are the “Best”!

Thanks again for your support!

George S. Hill

We are in need of help with the troop's fundraiser tomorrow, November 22nd.  This is our largest fundraiser of the year.  We currently have 1 scout, 2 leaders, and 2 troop committee members who have told us they are helping.  We need much more help than that to carry out this event.  Our greatest need is between 10:30 AM and 1:30 PM.  We need help!

If you can help for three or four hours tomorrow, it will make the difference between success and failure.  Please email me (scoutm...@gmail.com) to let me know you are coming and when you can work.  We need scouts (who make the rounds on the floor and take vendor orders) and adults/parents (to work in the kitchen, make plates, monitor drinks, and take payments).  We also need an additional person to cook on one of the grills.  Please consider donating your time.  We use the proceeds of the event to offset the cost of our troop trips.  All of the details for the fundraiser are contained below.
