The troop is camping this Friday through Sunday, October 10 - 12, at Cherokee Scout Reservation (CSR) and providing service on Saturday for the council's Cub Scout Howl-o-ree.  The following scouts and leaders have indicated that they are planning to attend:

Wesley Gable, Hunter Hanson, Landon Hawk, Anthony Hunt, Landon Hunt, Asher LaPlante, Emmett Martin, Luke McCauley, Mac McCauley, Porter Smith, Loryn Payne, Ron Hunt, Larry McCauley, and Melissa McCauley

Please open the attached trip information sheet and read it carefully for all of the details regarding the weekend.  Here are a couple of things I want to highlight:

1.  Please meet at Macedonia Lutheran Church near the Scout Hut at 6:00 PM on Friday, October 10th.  We will load gear into the trailer and try to leave around 6:15 PM.  Eat before you come or bring a brown bag dinner to eat on Friday night.
2.  The cost of the weekend is $15 which covers part of the registration fee/food for the weekend.
3.  Scouts are camping in the tents in the staff area at CSR.  Each tent contains two beds with a mattress.  If you would like to use your own tent to camp this weekend that is permissible.
4.  Keep your gear light.  You will be carrying it from the parking lot to the CSR staff area.
5.  Wear your field uniform (Class A) on Friday to travel to CSR and to return home on Sunday.  We are doing the flag lowering on Saturday evening.  The scouts participating in the ceremony will need their field uniform.
6.  Everyone attending will need to complete a pre-event screening form and turn it in when we meet on Friday evening.  I am required to turn these into the health officer when we check in at the camporee.  Please print and complete.  The form is attached to this email.
7.  Everyone attending will need to complete a code of conduct form that is signed by the scout and their parent.  Please print and complete.  The form is attached to this email.
8.  We will return between 10:30 AM and 11:00 AM on Sunday morning.  You will pick up your scout at Macedonia around that time.
9.  Plan for the weather.  It is going to be cool during the overnight hours.  Make sure that you have warm clothing and a cap to sleep in.  Please bring a coat or jacket to stay warm.
10.  On Saturday, the scouts will provide service by manning a booth at Howl-o-ree.  Some of the scouts in the troop will be working in the trading post/commissary.

If anyone has any questions. please let me know.
