TMG to GEDCOM Update: Version 1.04

TMG to GEDCOM (T2G) v1.04 is now available. This is a free upgrade for existing customers that includes some minor enhancements and changes. I recommend that all users install this version. Details are described in the Change Log:

MS Windows or your anti-virus software may not trust the TMG to GEDCOM installer because TMG to GEDCOM is not a commonly-used program and so it won't have enough reputation points to convince anti-virus software makers that it can be trusted. You may have to instruct your antivirus software to allow you to download the installer if MS Windows or your anti-virus software deems it suspicious.
If you have any trouble installing or using T2G, post a message on the T2G discussion list (T2G-L), or contact me directly, your choice. Posting on the list will allow other users to benefit from the discussion of the problem and the solution.

Yes, but with a big caveat!
Ancestry.com's GEDCOM import for family trees does recognize the _FREL and _MREL custom GEDCOM records. However, one beta tester reported that it did not support any values except "adopted", i.e., it either ignores "step", "foster", etc., or imports them as "adopted". I do not know if that is a bug, or a limitation, or what. I doubt Ancestry.com would comment on it.
I will ask the beta tester to respond to this post to get more details, if there are any.

Darn! I answered as if you were asking about Ancestry.com's online trees, but now I think you meant the online tree from American Ancestors (NHEGS). I have not tested it, but I'd be shocked if AmericanAncesTREES supported _MREL / _FREL. Bluntly, their GEDCOM import is pretty limited.
