Output person and his descendants

How do I have the program output a gedcom for a person and his descendants? Under People I tried Descendant Generation #1234(Constant Marks) and resulting gedcom only had the Gedcom description information.

1. Remove your exist filter.
2. Make sure that “Exclude Living People” is unchecked unless you want to exclude them. However, if the subject person—the one whose descendants you want to select—is living, that complicates things. I will assume that you will leave Exclude Living People unchecked. Get back to me if that is an issue.
3. Add this filter term:

 

 

That is a “Descendant of” term, not a “Descendant Generation” term. Include Subject is checked, so the subject (#2 above) will be selected as well as his descendants. Similarly, Include Spouses is checked, so the spouses any selected person—including the subject and the subject’s descendants—will also be included.

Connie - I just tried a test, using a subset of my main TMG database. Here's what I set up in T2G, under "People":

 That exported all 42 people I expected.

 It is also worth clicking on the pencil icon to edit the Descendant item - you can choose whether or not to include spouses:
