Hello Troop 2!

I trust everyone had a great Christmas and is enjoying the break from school (and possibly work??)!  Hard to believe we are in the final countdown to 2024, but it is here.  Even though the Troop is taking a break for a couple of weeks, I still wanted to fill everyone in on what we have coming up in January and beyond!

Monday Night Meetings

We will NOT be meeting again this Monday, as it s New Year's Day.  Our next meeting will be on Monday, January 8th.  We will meet at St. John's from 7 - 8:30, Class A Uniform required.  We will be working on advancement needs for the boys, as well as planning for our January campout.

January Campout

We are actually planning a day trip on Saturday, January 20th for our campout in January.  We are going to go to the Ottawa Scouting Heritage Museum down near Starved Rock.  The boys are still hammering out the details, so more to follow.  For now, though, mark your calendar and be prepared for more info.  Suffice it to say that the boys are going to plan a fun day!

Pancake Breakfast

This annual fundraising event for the Troop will be held on Sunday, February 4th, from 7:30 - 12:30.  Set up will be on Saturday the 3rd.  The good news is that the breakfast is on a Sunday again, which means we should get a lot of extra business from the church attendees that day!  The bad news is that the compact size of the Troop still exists so, like last year, we won't be having shifts in the kitchen, it is pretty much going to be all hands on deck!  So, get ready to work, clear your calendars, tell your friends, and sell those tickets (the boys were given their tickets to sell at the last meeting) like you've never sold them before!  Let's make this another great year for the Pancake Breakfast!
