Eagle Service Projects

Hello Troop 2!

I am writing to happily inform everyone that we have 2 more Eagle Service Projects on the docket!  Jay Fischbach and Joey Valus are in the home stretch to earn their Eagle Rank.  As we all know, the Service Project is the biggest hurdle to get over, and they are both at that point.  I have outlined the details of their projects below.  As usual, any and all help is needed and appreciated.  If you have any questions, please reach out to me.  We hope to see lots of old friends in the coming weeks!

Jay's Project:

 Little Home Church By the Wayside

Saturday, May 10th ....... yes, this coming Saturday (eye roll)

Things need to move quick for Jay as he turns 18 at the end of June

We will meet at the church at 8am and probably be working through till 5pm

The project consists of cleaning out the attic, sorting and distributing/disposing of the items, building shelves and organizing what is left.  Lunch will be served.  Make sure to bring a water bottle and any small power tools you might have.

Joey's Project:

Saturday, June 7th - 9am to 2pm

Saturday, June 14th - 9am to 5pm

McKinley Elementary School Back Parking Lot

The project will be a 2 day collection project.  Joey will be collecting items for the homeless to be dropped off at PADS in Elgin.  The 1st day, on the 7th, will be spent canvasing the neighborhood with flyers and spreading the word about the collection the following weekend.  The day of the 14th will be spent going back through the neighborhood collecting the donations, then sorting them and finally delivering them over to PADS.  Lunch will be served on both days. 

What to bring:

Good walking shoes

Dress for the weather (Frog Togs, etc.)

Water Bottle
