Need help in configuring batch file listener and also information of how batch file listener will process file with 100 records in it, what is the advantage of using batch file listener.

Can we call our own program to format the message using batchfile listener.

What are the existing message formatters available.

You help in this is much appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi Arun.

To keep it simple

1) There is a sequential file which has one record per line to be processed
2) Create EB.PHANTOM and run it to process the records

Same logic applies here

1) Batch file listener have an input and output dir, err and log dir. The directory should be created and configured in tcserver
2) we can attach the subroutine to be used in OFS.SOURCE which can format from any form to OFS form and vice versa (during the output message)
3) For details, there is a directory called "doc" in tcserver

Thanks,
Mahendra Babu

thanks Mahendra.

MY CASE IS AS BELOW
I have a file with 100 lines of data, each line = 1 transaction data.
Now if i use batchfile listener how will my output be, will the file with 100 lines or records be split in to 100 files with 1 record each?

The information i seek is will the batch file listener split the file with multiple records in to 1 record per file or it does not split the file.

Thanks

Regards

Arun,

Remember, BFL will look and fetch the file into T24 env. and coz. of
this your output will not change...

The output of BFL will be the file and not the txn.

If your requirement is off the path revert to me...

Hi Arun,

good question, I presume there will be individual record per transaction. unable to recollect. Please check and revert

But you need in a single file.

Thanks,
