I was wondering if you might be able to help me get the word out about an event I am planning for the Diabetes Scholars Foundation.  On Sweetest Day, Saturday October 18th, we are hosting our Love The Run You're With 5K Run/Walk in Town Square, Palatine, IL at 8:00 am.  The event will be held on a USATF certified course.  Each runner will receive a tech shirt, food, goody bag and medals for top finishers.  The link to register for the event is http://diabetesscholars.org/sweetest-day-2014-5k/.   Funds raised from our event will allow us to continue our mission to empower people living with type 1 diabetes through education.

I started this foundation 10 years ago.  We provide need based scholarships for families to attend diabetes education conferences and have awarded scholarships for almost 3,000 people to attend conferences.  We also award college scholarships to students with type 1 diabetes and in 7 years have awarded almost $900,000 in college scholarships.
