Hi All - Amy Tenderich from Diabetes Mine has some helpful suggestions for using the Dexcom.  http://www.diabetesmine.com/2013/01/sticking-with-the-dexcom-g4.html.

I like the suggestion to use a loufa scrub before applying the Dexcom sensor to help adhere better.  Also, read the comments about tape options.  I have a label taped onto the back of my Dexcom which says: THIS IS A MEDICAL DEVISE.  IF FOUND PLEASE CALL -------.   It worked recently when Dex fell out of my pocket in a restaurant.  Five minutes later I got a phone call!

If you have any suggestions please share. Merle

I will say that when I first got my g4 I noticed that I was having a difficult time getting the sensor adhesive to stay for the entire 7 days. I did some research and found that many other diabetics who use the g4 use this tape calld opsite flexifit. It's amazing!!!! I ordered mine from amazon. It was $22 but worth every penny! My sensors stay on for the long haul!!

Thanks for this info, Becky. My sensor just came off last night about 2 a.m. (I guess that is this morning). I have had 2 others come off the same way - with no adhesive left at all. Very frustrating. I have tried band-aids, but they didn't work. I will order some of this tape.

Yes! This tape is awesome! I've had a sensor on for 12 days now and it's still sticking and with accurate results!
