This Order and any emergency rules or regulations effected therefrom remain effective until the termination of the State of Emergency, except as may be rescinded, superseded, amended, or revised by additional orders.
Occasionally, streamers accidentally leave their streams on with a hot mic and even cam. During this, streamers can unintentionally reveal embarrassing and inappropriate things on-air without their knowledge with mods only being able to host another streamer as their only tool to stop the damage. Unfortunately, those watching outside their browser can be unaffected by hosting and still be watching the stream. I think these incidents can remedied and prevented by giving mods a sort of "Emergency Brake" to stop the stream. I believe this function should be optional for safety reasons so that the streamer can decide for themselves if they want to give their mods the ability to do this. An additional benefit of this is that it will make mobile gaming (particularly adventures games such as Pokemon Go) easier to stream as streamers will not have to worry about being far away from the controls to turn the stream off and instead have their mods do it.
Acerswap, why would you want troll mods in the first place then? In my experience, troll mods only make things harder for the streamer and their community which is the opposite that you want a mod to do.
I don't know if this is possible from a technical standpoint. Twitch would have to create a temporary "ban" on the streamer to prevent the software from just reconnecting. Not an actual ban, but something that says, "Hey, don't let this streamer's software connect until X." Otherwise there isn't a way to do it from Twitch's side of things as far as I know.
Granted, I don't know a ton and it would be a great safety feature for some streamers that I know, or even for the case of medical emergencies or other issues. Doesn't arise often, but it would be nice to have people who can end the stream so that personal information isn't out in the world in those cases.
Moderators with Editor access can do this. It needs to be assigned separately from the Creator Dashboard. Yes, it enables other abilities for the moderator in question, but if you can trust someone not to dump your broadcast randomly then I think you can also trust them not to delete clips/VODs or change stream title, etc.
alternatively the streamer be able to allow people they trust to do this as well. by generating a one use code that would be put after the command that could be given to people they trust.. it would need to be sent threw the messaging system and it would keep track of the code, who it was sent to, and the ability to deactivate an active one
For security, this really needs to happen. Other than forgetting to close the stream, there may be other things happening that could damage the community. Yesterday, for example, StreamLabs goofed up really hard and showed casters IPs to the entire stream. LIKE THEIR LEGIT IP!!!. Definitely not cool, and as a mod that is deeply invested in that community, it is absolutely terrifying to sit there and not be able to hide that information. Casters can be very involved in their game and may not notice there is a serious issue. I would greatly appreciate if Twitch could proactively implement something like this and give that access to channel editors. I truly feel that having this feature will save a lot of trouble down the road.
I definitely like this idea. In my mind, I see this being a great option in 24 hour streams if someone falls asleep. I don't think it should necessarily be an option for all mods, but I think it'd be great for editors.

I'm a new member of this great and very useful site for my favorite game. I love to manage emergencies in SimCity 4 Maps . I downloaded several mods and was looking for something new that I can't find anywhere. I'm looking for a mod that allows me to better manage dispatches. in particular I would like to be able to manage dispatches better, keeping them fixed at the point where I sent them. Each time when I send them to the map the yellow circles disappear and the emergency vehicle (fire truck, or police car) returns to the base. Thanks to a glitch that hits the police helicopter, the yellow circle remains fixed on the last point on the map where I sent the helicopter and It does not return to the base. I would therefore like to be able to prevent the emergency vehicle that I send to a point on the map (even without a real reason and without any disaster / crime in progress) from turning back or disappearing after a few seconds. I don't know if I was clear and I thank you all for accepting me in the group and for your help.
It's a clear question, for which there is sadly no good answer. In the almost 19 years since the game was released, really few efforts have been done to modify the functioning of the emergency dispatches, or the vehicle controlling, more in general. In no small part, this is because allowing the players to control those vehicles was mostly an executive afterthought on the game development, and wasn't executed adequately.
The first thing in the game dispatches which really annoyed me is the Fire Plane. Once sent out it will never properly land (and stay put). I suspect that is controlled within the EffectDir which is a complicated mess that only a couple peeps have successfully modded. I'd also guess the fire trucks and police cars are also in that elusive EffectDir.
The only one currently creating in that part of the game is @TropicalWeatherEP and I have no idea what method they are using, but they are focused on weather related things. They might at least know if I'm barking up the right tree by suggesting the controls for dispatched vehicles are in the EffectDir.
Hello everyone. I would like to inform you that I have found a solution to keep the police cars sent stationary on the spot. when I send them you see the yellow circle with the police hat inside. As soon as the car arrives on the spot, I repeatedly double-click with the left mouse button over the yellow circle so that it becomes red. By continuing to click on the same point and then keeping the red circle always on the same sending point (with the police car stationary) the car will no longer move from its position and I will be able to move it freely on the map from one point to another. 'other. In this case the red circle will no longer change color (red-orange and finally yellow and then disappear) but will remain fixed on the map with the car stationary with the flashing lights on. I hope I was clear. I thought I'd like to share my experience with you. Thank you and long live SimCity 4.
But we still need your support to stay online. If you're able to, please consider a donation to help us stay up and running. This helps sustain a platform where we can share our community creations for years to come.
By way of a "Thank You" gift, we'd like to send you our STEX Collector's DVD. It's some of the best buildings, lots, maps and mods collected for you over the years. Check out the STEX Collections for more info.
Let us help you prepare your community with emergency response resources. The Massachusetts Office on Disability (MOD) hosts meetings for communities to prepare persons with disabilities for an emergency. We bring together people with disabilities, local emergency planners, and first responders.
Please note: We are not currently scheduling new emergency preparedness trainings. Please contact Lilia Melikechi, Communications and Training Manager, at lilia.m...@mass.gov or 617-851-2366 to be added to our waitlist.
Members of the disability community learn about the personal steps they can take to prepare for different emergency situations. We give you planning guides to help in this process.
First responders and emergency planners learn about making more accessible community preparedness plans. We will also hand out guides for first responders on how to interact with people with disabilities in an emergency.
So after looking around in my modpack thought it'd be a good idea to have alarms. Just like in the old industrial craft, but i wasnt able to find any mods that add this for 1.7.10 + except for security craft, which adds some too many things i dont want. And note blocks are too quiet.
I think it would be great and so helpful (to tons of other people too) if we had something like this. Kind of like where when redstone signal is applied itll start an alarm. That would be so cool and be a nice touch to our factories and managing machines and maybe reactors. Please reply with feedback and if any of you could make this i would love it thank you for reading!
on redstone activated would you like sound as well as flashing etc? i will make something like this but given as im pretty busy any other people can go ahead also if they are more free ill post a link here when done also
We are in a unique situation. The lore wipe just happened. We're fresh into a developing apocalypse. This is also underlined by many fresh looking prefab cars placed around, like Russian military (GAZ?) trucks or ambulances, that are static however.
We're currently in a fitting time window that won't be feasible a few years down the line. For me it's kind of a "now or never" question because now we can say emergency services are relatively alive and kicking. Such vehicles and their use (by certain characters or groups) will underline a presence that will likely diminish over the months and years. But having this now and for a while will empower or widen RP aspects because you could have patrolling police drive around, do checkpoints, or have medical personnel respond to emergencies that are called in - or simply have them maintain a presence somewhere. They can do this already, yes. Or could simply use other vehicles. But being represented by vehicles or vehicle skins, rather, would add something to immersion. What is more fitting? If I request an ambulance or cop and have them pull up in a fuel truck or civilian Skoda - or maybe have them pull up with a proper vehicle or at least proper looking vehicle?
