Parents and Swimmer/Divers,
Below is information concerning our trip to the Kenai Peninsula for
the Homer Invitational September 11th & 12th.
We will only be taking athletes who have current grades that meet or
exceed the district’s requirements for extracurricular activities. A
permission slip must be signed by a parent/guardian for all attending
the meet. For those that did not attend the Kodiak meet last week, I
would like the grade check to be filled out as well. This form must
be turned in to Coach Cliff by the time we board the bus on Friday,
September 11th. The form is available on our website at t-

• Bus will leave from the East High Pool entrance at 8a
• We will collect $20 per person for food for the trip. We will
have a team dinner (pizza) in Homer. I will purchase breakfast &
lunch food at Costco and store them in coolers both Friday and
Saturday meals.
• We will be staying in the High School. One room for girls and
one for boys. athletes will need to bring:
o All swim/dive gear (suits, towels, goggles, caps)
o Clothes for Saturday & personal sundry items.
o Sleeping bag, sleeping pad, and a pillow.
• Friday night is diving with warm-ups at 3p, meet starts at 5p.
Saturday is swimming with warm-ups at 8a, meet starts at 10a.
• We estimate the meet to end between 2-3p. We will leave as
soon after the meet ends as possible. It is a 5-6 hour drive back
with rest breaks.
• I will have kids call when we leave Homer and pass check points
along the way home. We will make phone calls for parents to make
pickups at East when we pass Girdwood. Please pick up your swimmer in
a timely manner.
