szl "make check" now passes!

With the right patches applied, szl now builds on Ubuntu and MacOSX, and its unit tests pass.

The head of the svn repository is still r53, which doesn't build. You have to patch it with the diffs you'll find attached to the following issues:

Be warned, I intend to use the bitbucket repository for some extensive changes, not just for bug fixes. I still welcome any comments, suggestions, and patches.
