【历史和未来】亚洲自由软件的曙光

看本周的分享感觉是不是最近大家创作思路枯竭了。

我来贡献一点思路。

上周我在东京涩谷的GNU42聚会上做了一次演讲，自covid19之后时隔6年再次与日本黑客，GNU PG维护者 NIIBE 聚首。而恰好，SZDIY的另一个老朋友 Luis Felipe 的新书《Common Circuit》也是刚刚寄到我们俩手里。一下子让我们有一种历史和未来同时交辉的感觉。这也是作为哈佛访问学者的Feilipe在中国八年的呕心沥血之作了，完稿后又耗时6年才成书。

虽然目前国际形势稍有紧张，可SZDIY确实是一个同时连接了中美日三方科技领域友谊的桥梁。

BTW，SZDIY大部份人没有去过书里的Noise Bridge以及东京创客空间，但书里的人却都到过SZDIY，而且还来得次数不少。

但凡熟悉SZDIY和过去深圳十年历史的人，看到这本书一定会感觉很亲切。里面详细记录了从2012年起后十年深圳科技行业以及本地科技圈子发展的点点滴滴，当时我翻开柴火创客空间那一章，就看到 atomman 的照片，这张聚会照看来十分经典要好好保存。问题是我知道的人都在照片里了，究竟是谁拍的？

为什么要说是亚洲自由软件的曙光呢，这个是这次东京GNU42会议的主题，主持人也提及了这本书，书里只讲了三个地方美国、日本、中国，各选了一个典型社区和黑客。虽然深圳选的是柴火，但通篇出现最多的是SZDIY，看来SZDIY已经成了精神象征嘛。

I have been wanting to reach out to give you the news about the book... but I really wanted to be present at SZDIY to see you all again and hand you a physical copy.

I was hoping we could do a book launch party at SZDIY,. The question is figuring out when I can come to China again.

So you know: 

- I took the photos you posted myself (otherwise you would have the credit of the person who took it).

- The book is being released as Open Access in February 2026 (which is the least I can do for the FOSS community from which I learned so much)

- SZDIY features prominently in the chapter about SZ because... I visited makerspaces / companies / hackthons, but people with a real hacker spirit... I could only find at SZDIY.

I hope you all keep the flame alive!

I hope we get to see each other in person soon.

I can ship you books, or you can wait so I can hand them to you in person (your choice).

Hi Luiz!

Thanks for the reply and the book!

The book brings so many memories to me and NIIBE.

Although I'm not in SZ, it's still feeling like we are strongly connected by SZDIY when reading the book.

Oh, I didn't know the photo was taken by you. It's a great photo since everyone didn't notice it, and kept focusing on hacking. And it included all the key members at that time. It's very memorable.

Yes... we are very far and yet still very much connected through our
common memories and common circuits!

I have many photos of this time to share. I can post them somewhere, so
they can be linked to the SZDIY site.

On another note: I really hope I can come visit you soon. Not sure when,
but soon, and bring all the physical books to distribute =)
