We are pleased to announce a new Ph.D. program in Financial Services Analytics (FSAN) at the University of Delaware.

The Ph.D. in FSAN is a cross-disciplinary program offered by the Alfred Lerner College of Business and Economics and the College of Engineering at the University of Delaware, and was funded in part by a grant from JPMorgan Chase. Our program is the first of its kind and will take a lead in shaping and defining the research area of FSAN. We will develop fundamental theories of FSAN, create new data-driven decision-making tools and technologies for the financial services industry, and train researchers and professionals.

The Ph.D. in FSAN is offered as a university-wide, multi-disciplinary graduate program with a scientific curriculum that builds upon the research and educational strengths of departments across the College of Engineering and the Lerner College of Business and Economics. Students in the FSAN Ph.D. program are researchers and professionals, who play key roles in multi- and interdisciplinary teams, bridging the financial services industry and data and operational sciences. The program provides students with the knowledge, skills, tools and tactics to turn data into value.

Students from many academic disciplines will find opportunities, challenges and success in the FSAN program at the University of Delaware. We are looking for students with strong quantitative backgrounds, solid computer skills, and a basic understanding of business principles in the financial services sector. The program offers the opportunity to interact with professionals in both academia and industry. Highly qualified students may receive JPMC research scholarships to cover all educational expenses in the program.
