Currently rolling out a Syyncc update: I'm in the process of replacing
the code for reading the details of posts and comments from fb & buzz,
and writing those posts/comments in detail to the other system. This
update brings the reimplemented from-facebook-to-buzz direction.
Videos and pictures, particularly, should move across much better.

And, assuming this doesn't blow up in my face, I'll be working on the
from-buzz-to-facebook direction.

Just posted this on one of your buzzes, but I think It actually is
more relevant here.

Not sure if this is related to the update, but I noticed something I
shared on facebook about 3 or 4 days ago JUST came through today. It
was one of those link sharing things.

Here is the link to the post on Buzz.

Yup it's totally related. Any post which is a "link" in facebook,
which is also from some app (including syyncc, but in your case the
app is "Chrome Quiz Results") has no security information when
discovered through the API. Is it public? Private? No way to know.
I've decided to treat them as public, because links posted by syyncc
to facebook, publicly, are in this category. Not sure if that's right,
but you've got to draw a line somewhere; I'd consider this a bug in
the facebook api.

It's just come across now because previously I was treating anything
with no security info as private, but that meant links posted from
buzz via syyncc were being treated as private, which meant that
comments on them in fb didn't sync back to buzz, which was crap.

Oh and just to be clear, it's a one-off, due to the update.

Awesome. However, does this mean that when people are playing a game,
like Farmville for instance, that every post that app does to the
wall, such as "_name_ found a lost fox, click here to adopt." will be
sent over to buzz?

I don't personally play any of the games on Facebook, but some people
might, and they may not want to spam their buzz friends with Farmville
notifications.

Yes, absolutely that's potentially an issue. OTOH, they're happy
enough to spam their facebook friends with that stuff, so hey. The few
games like that which I've played require you to ok them before they
post to your wall.
