Trying to get in to Google+

Hi all,

I'm trying to get an invite into Google+ (http://plus.google.com),
because I want to integrate it into Syyncc ASAP. If anyone knows
anyone influential, or otherwise can help, I'd be obliged.

Emlyn, I don't have any invites but I'll add you to my circle of followers. I'm not yet sure how that works but I think you will get updates on my posts. I'm hoping the interaction will trigger an invite for those I connect with.

It looks as though you wont want to syyncc the whole "stream", but
rather on a circle by circle basis. It might map well to Facebook
groups, maybe? Certainly to Diaspora aspects. Thoughts?

I read that only Googlers had invitations. The ready will be available "in a few weeks".

I asked for an invitation to a Google + Developers group, and hope to hear from them soon. I mentioned your name and your efforts to connect FB and Buzz when they asked why I wanted to join. I hope you get an invite soon.

The Diaspora connection would be great.

It's a struggle to add any thoughts when you're already thinking about it so clearly. ;)

I agree it would map well to Facebook groups, but I also get the impression that a large portion of Facebook users finds groups too complicated. Some way to map one or more of your circles to "all my facebook friends" might be useful too.

Also, apparently there is a "public" circle, which I assume could be mapped the same way public Buzz posts are now.

I saw something about invites being allowed now. It says users may have to log out and back in to get them.

How many people do we have in this group? It would be cool if we could get the whole syyncc crowd in on this.

I post almost exclusively on Buzz. (Used to be mostly via Reader shares, but I have avoided those lately due to Syyncc not supporting them well and too many complaints from my Facebook friends when I share stuff and no link appears.)

My Facebook activity was pretty dead before I got Syyncc, now I get quite a few comments there.
