Dear Colleagues,
✨ The Rebola Laboratory at the Paris Brain Institute (ICM) is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher for a fully funded two-year position to investigate how cellular and molecular mechanisms shape sensory information processing in cortical circuits, focusing on the primary visual cortex. (See the attached document for further information.)
👩🔬
About the Lab
Located in the heart of Paris, the
Rebola lab is part
of the internationally renowned Paris Brain Institute, offering a vibrant and collaborative research environment. Our work combines biophysical, imaging, and electrophysiological approaches to understand how synaptic diversity and circuit properties shape
sensory coding.
💡Project Overview
The postdoctoral fellow will:
• Lead a project on
synaptic and circuit mechanisms of sensory processing in the primary visual cortex (V1)
• Employ
in vivo two-photon imaging, optogenetics, and/or electrophysiology (e.g. Neuropixels)
• Analyze multimodal datasets to determine how cellular and synaptic mechanisms influence the encoding of visual information.
• Contribute to mentoring and collaborative efforts within the lab
Candidate Profile
• PhD in Neuroscience or related field
• Experience with in vivo recordings, two-photon imaging, and/or
electrophysiology
• Strong motivation for fundamental neuroscience research
• Excellent publication record (relative to career stage)
• Fluency in English (French not required)
✅
Why Join Us
• Be part of a dynamic, international neuroscience community
