Hi everyone,
I am looking for a Master’s thesis student to work with multi-electrode array (Utah Array) neurophysiology data recorded simultaneously from the prefrontal cortex and the posterior parietal cortex in macaques, in the group of Theofanis Panagiotaropoulos (Dept. Logothetis), in collaboration with the group of Prof. Stanislas Dehaene. The project deals with spike and LFP analysis within a predictive coding paradigm. The initial exploration of the data shows strong modulations during the perception of statistical deviants in sequences of auditory stimuli. A possibility to expand the project by the student also exists. The student must be interested in neural data analysis and must be reasonably proficient in programming (MATLAB/Python/C/R).
