The MOVIT Team (Movement, Investigation, Therapeutics) is happy to announce the opening of a full-time fully funded 2-year postdoctoral position. We pioneered the development of functional ultrasound imaging coupled to electrophysiology (fUS-ephys) in freely moving rats, mice, primates and reptiles. We investigate the physiology of sleep, in particular rapid-eye-movement sleep, in relation with emotional memory and brain clearance processes using interdisciplinary approaches to understand and manipulate neurovascular processes at the whole-brain scale. The candidate will develop the experimental tools to manipulate neuronal and vascular processes with optogenetics and learn electrophysiology and functional ultrasound imaging, and observe the effects of these manipulations at the whole brain scale. He/she will also contribute to develop a new research group and will work closely with the PI to validate the experimental designs, acquisition and analysis pipelines. Applicants should have a PhD degree in behavioral neuroscience or related field with a strong motivation for experimental work and developing new designs. They should have animal training courses and certificates up-to-date according to French legislation. Applicants should have some experience using a programming language (MATLAB/Python/R) and multimodal analysis. Interdisciplinary background is a plus. Position Details: · Duration: 24 months full-time contract (extension possible subject to funding availability) · Salary: Junior Postdoc Level (~36 KEUR / year) · Location: Paris Brain Institute, Paris, France Application Details: · Closing Date: 30 April 2026. · Further Information and Application: https://offres.institutducerveau-icm.org/fr/jobs/1999-86 · PI contact : antoine.bergel[AT]icm-institute.org
