Hello, I'm reaching out from Neuromatch to let you know that applications are open for paid Teaching Assistant roles across our July 2026 courses until 15 March. We'd love your help getting the word out to your graduate students and lab members.

We have a particular need for TAs in our NeuroAI course, so if you have graduate students with a background at the intersection of neuroscience and machine learning, we'd especially welcome this opportunity being highlighted to them.

For either our 2-week or 3-week courses, these are full-time, contracted, virtual roles paid according to local cost of living. The application deadline is 15 March, so time is short!

If you're able to share the message below with your graduate students/your lab, we'd be very grateful.

Thank you for helping us bring computational science to students everywhere!

Neuromatch Academy is hiring paid Teaching Assistants for its July 2026 online courses.

Courses they are hiring for:

Computational Neuroscience (6-24 July)

Deep Learning (6-24 July)

NeuroAI (13-24 July)

Computational Tools for Climate Science (13-24 July)

This is a paid, full-time, virtual role (8hrs/day, Mon-Fri during course dates). Pay is adjusted for your local cost of living. As a TA you will guide students through tutorials, support a group research project, and join an international community of researchers and educators.

Why apply?

Teaching deepens your understanding like nothing else. You will sharpen your own grasp of the material while gaining hands-on experience in mentorship and scientific communication that stands out to PhD programs and research employers. You will work alongside incredible educators and researchers from around the world, and help students from diverse backgrounds break into a field you care about.

You will need: a strong background in Python and your chosen course topic, an undergraduate degree, full availability during course dates, and a 5-minute teaching video as part of your application (instructions provided).

Application deadline: 15 March
