Postdoctoral opportunity in social behavior at the Sainsbury Wellcome Centre, University College London

The Isogai lab at the newly founded Sainsbury Wellcome Centre for Neural Circuits and Behaviour in London is looking for an outstanding postdoctoral fellow for the study of social behaviors.

This position is best suited for an individual who wishes to study the neural basis of social behavior in mice using a combination of cutting edge physiology and molecular/genetic methods. Especially, we are looking for a physiologist interested in recording activities from a large ensemble of neurons during the recognition of social cues.

We will employ contemporary recording methods, such as electrophysiology using high-density probes (e.g., neuropixels) and calcium imaging in behaving animals. The scientists in the Isogai lab are embedded in a rich neuroscience community at the University College London and benefit from close collaborations with other SWC labs and the Gatsby Computational Neuroscience Unit. We take a long-term approach to our projects and will provide an excellent training ground for independent careers.

For more information about the lab, please visit www.isogailab.org or www.ucl.ac.uk/swc/research/Isogai.

Detailed job description is found here.
