PhD and postdoc positions in visual cognitive neuroscience at Donders Institute, The Netherlands

We anticipate the opening of several PhD and postdoc positions in Marius Peelen’s new lab at The Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition and Behavior (http://www.ru.nl/donders/). The positions are funded by a 5-year ERC grant starting September 2017 (start date of positions is flexible). The projects use cognitive neuroscience methods (fMRI, MEG, TMS) to study the neural basis of object and scene perception, with the common aim to characterize the neural mechanisms underlying the efficiency of naturalistic human vision. For more information about our research, see: https://sites.google.com/site/peelenlab/

Postdoc candidates should have strong programming skills, experience with one or more of the used methods, and an established publication record in cognitive neuroscience. PhD candidates should have strong computational skills and some research experience in cognitive neuroscience or a related discipline.

The Donders Institute in Nijmegen, The Netherlands, is a friendly, collaborative research environment with excellent research facilities (including fMRI, MEG, TMS). It is home to many outstanding researchers from all over the world. The working language of the Donders Institute is English.

Please contact me (m.pe...@donders.ru.nl) for informal inquiries. I will be at VSS this year and happy to meet interested candidates there.
