We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to join EMBL Rome.
You will lead the design, build, and management of large-scale video hardware and software infrastructure that will generate an unprecedented dataset of rodent home-cage social behaviour.
You will also perform analyses made possible by this infrastructure, using machine learning to uncover the underlying causes of behaviour across the lifespan and combining behavioural results with deep molecular phenotyping.
Candidates should:
• Have a PhD in Systems or Behavioural Neuroscience, Neuroethology, Computer Vision, Engineering, or a related field.
• Have experience setting up video hardware and software for behavioural analysis.
• Be eligible for funding from the EMBL ARISE2 fellowship programme, which supports co-supervision with external academic or industry partners.
