Hello!
We are thrilled to announce the 4th edition of Nencki Open Lab Optics & Microscopy Workshop!
Curious about how microscopes really work? Would you like to build one yourself and see (hopefully!) some neurons? Join us on May 9–11 for a hands-on, deep dive into the fascinating world of optics and microscopy!
Led by Fred Marbach (Francis Crick Institute, London), this workshop starts from the basics— photons, lenses, ray diagrams—and builds up trough bright field microscopy up to a DIY fluorescent microscope.
You’ll gain the kind of intuition for optical systems that will allow you to fully understand optical systems you use at your laboratory, build your own microscopes and look more critically on publications!
When? May 9–11
Where? On-site at Nencki Institute, Warsaw
Cost? 700 PLN (or EUR 163)
Register by May 1st: https://forms.gle/mpApc9tXkKJsoDjXA
With best wishes,
Mateusz Kostecki
