We would be grateful if you could draw the attention of your students and postdocs to a new course:
Champalimaud Centre for the Unknown, Lisbon, Portugal
Course directors:
• Michael Hausser (University College London)
• Leopoldo Petreanu (Champalimaud Centre for the Unknown)
• Menno Witter (Kavli Institute for Systems Neuroscience)
This is a 3-week course which combines a lecture series featuring top speakers in the field with a practical “hands-on” introduction to the latest optical, electrophysiological, molecular and anatomical methods for probing neural circuits. The aim is to first teach students the theoretical foundation of the techniques (weeks 1 and 2), and then provide them with sufficient practical experience (weeks 2 and 3) so that they will be able to establish these approaches when they return to their labs.
Application deadline: 20 March 2017
Stipends are available.
Please forward this announcement to anybody who you think might be interested (with apologies for any duplication).
Best regards,
Michael
