Dear Mahendra Sir

Topic is “Future of Automotive Electronics”

We have an event starting tomorrow on, I will share the flyer once I have more details once I get the BROCHURE

The Format of the Challenge is detailed below and we request you to send interested students to the register from 20th Oct. till 30th Nov

The students can register here: https://goo.gl/forms/xhI55h7UC9zWTWDI2

1.    Bosch will provide problem statements from their focus industry verticals. The challenges will broadly fall into the categories of Smart City, IOT, Wearables, Robotics and embedded electronic products

2.    There will be at least 5 challenges. Teams (of max 3 members) will send their solution for one or more challenge via the website before 01 Dec 2016. The solution proposal should clearly specify the approach and the components to be used

3.    The proposals are evaluated by a team from Bosch and Maker village and the better teams are called in Dec 2016 / Jan 2017 to present their idea to a panel either in person or via video conferencing/Skype.

4.    Best solutions will be selected and offered pre-incubation for about 3 months (Jan-Mar/Apr 2017) at Maker Village, Kochi, to develop a prototype. Bosch will sponsor the pre-incubation at Maker Village. The teams can also choose to work from their own premises or make use of the facilities offered.

5.    Prototyping support of up to Rs. 50000 per team will be offered by Bosch. Bosch and Maker Village will support with maker space and mentorship. Bosch will also provide the necessary support for prototyping parts, tools, software and accessories.

6.    Teams which are able to successfully demonstrate the prototype will be declared winners. Each winning team will be offered a cash prize of Rs. 1 lakh and incubation at Maker Village, Kochi, for 12 months. They will be called Bosch scholars

7.    Bosch will help the team (Bosch scholars) register as a startup and support their product idea with industrialization and market reach. Bosch will offer them a monthly stipend to cover living and boarding expenses at Kochi.

The Bosch scholars will be invited for a visit to the Bosch facility in Bangalore or Coimbatore to study the whole process of product design from Idea to Industry deployment

If a winning team chooses not to register the startup, the entire solution, prototype and other IP will belong to Bosch.

In case a startup is registered, the IP rights of the product will be transferred to the startup and Bosch has the Right of First Refusal. Bosch will market the product for the startup based on mutual agreement.
