Javier,

What’s the current status of the recordings from the IW 2022 WG sessions?

For one thing Prof. Mike Jackson’s presentation would be of interest for people considering the course on 'Critical Systems Thinking and the Management of Complexity' that you announced here recently.

And Spencer Breiner’s tutorial on Category Theory is a resource that should be preserved for the SysSciWG.

Janet,

We have the recordings but not the Copyright releases. We will process them and release them via a different channel.

Subject: Recordings from IW?

[This email originated from outside of OSU. Use caution with links and attachments.]

Hi Javier,
Each of the SSWG sessions on the IW platform say ‘at the request of the presenter, the session was not recorded’. (Actually there are surprisingly few sessions across all working groups that say ‘video will be available shortly’.)

Will there be more videos at some point? I’m interested in particular in the CT tutorial.

Janet,

I hear you and we are working as fast as possible; however, there are a few hurdles we need to clear before we release the videos:

1.       Process and edit the videos; this requires a bit of time. This is crucial as we need to ensure the anonymity of some participants (if videos are made available outside of INCOSE systems – members only). Also, please keep in mind that only a few select recordings will be made available.

2.       Find a place where to host the videos; those are large very files (we are working on different alternatives, but it will take a bit of time). Our Wiki won’t work as we are limited by the size of files we can store there. We are exploring alternatives that will work for a large audience and will make the participants comfortable (see point #1).

3.       Presentations (or links) will be posted on our Wiki as we receive final versions from authors/presenters.

4.       Files from Category Theory are available at the Github space Spencer shared: https://github.com/sjbreiner/IW2022

Cheers

Javier
