Inviting submissions for NPJ Systems Biology & Applications

Dear SysMod community colleagues,

 

Hope you are doing well!

 

Please allow me to introduce myself. I am an Assistant Professor at Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore. We have been working on dynamical models of regulatory networks driving cellular decision-making in cancer metastasis – (eLife 2022; iScience 2021).

 

I have recently taken over as the Editor-in-Chief of NPJ Systems Biology & Applications (NPJ SBA; IF = 4.67) and would like to encourage you to submit your upcoming research/review articles there. We are also launching special themed collections to focus on upcoming areas, such as systems immunology.

 

The journal welcomes both computational and experimental work that integrate, or aid the integration of, data, analysis, and insight from molecules to organisms. Fundamental insights into diverse biological systems, but also applications to health, big data, human behaviour, biological systems and industrial applications, are welcome. Thus, the topics covered by the journal include, but are not limited to:

 

1. Regulatory networks: transcriptomic, metabolic and protein-protein interaction  
2. Design principles, evolution and modularity of biological networks
3. Synthetic biology
4. Integrative genome-level (e.g. metabolic) biology and biological engineering
5. Multi-omics analysis (transcriptomic, metabolomic, proteomic, epigenomic etc.)
6. Single-cell biology: RNA-seq, ATAC-seq, ChIP-seq, CyTOF etc.
7. Spatially resolved molecular omics and/or imaging analysis
8. Bioinformatics-aided drug discovery and repurposing, clinical systems biology
9. Quantitative Systems Pharmacology and Systems Medicine: in silico clinical trials
10. Network medicine and physiology
11. Machine learning and/or artificial intelligence models applied to biological data
12. Quantitative, Computational and Mathematical Biology
