Hello,

I am trying to monitor system calls for containers on ARM architecture. So far it seems Sysdig is not supported for ARM yet. Any idea when the support for ARM might become available?

I am a PhD student at University of Texas At San Antonio and my research interests are 'Security for IoT and Edge Devices'. We plan to use Sysdig as soon as it becomes available.

Any sort of reply will be highly appreciated.

Thank you for reading this.

Yours Sincerely

Hi Sadun!

Sysdig tool uses falcosecurity libs and it somewhat strictly follows Falco development.
In a sense, it is most probably that arm supports first arrives in Falco, and later in Sysdig.

Like for Falco, at the moment we miss the infra part:
* artifacts for arm64
* drivers built for arm64

While this seems a pretty short list, it has quite a bit of work and testing; we expect a Falco 0.32 patch release (0.32.1) with arm64 support
around end of June.

Sysdig will follow, likely 1-2 months later (as far as i know, we have no plans at the moment, but if i had to make a guess,
i'd say around September).

Thank you very much for your interest!
Federico
