2010 Onondaga Speaker Series

Hey Syracuse Grows,

last week I attended a planning meeting for an 'Onondaga Land Rights &
Our Common Future' speaker series next year,
featuring Onondaga speakers on various topics, organized by Neighbors of
the Onondaga Nation (NOON).
NOON is discussing native gardening as one topic, which could
involve a field trip & planting event.
This event may take place next spring or fall.
I said I would ask if anyone at Syracuse Grows is keen on collaborating
with NOON on this idea.

NOON announces plans for a second major educational series: Onondaga
Land Rights & Our Common Future,
part II will begin in mid-February 2010 and run through the year. This
collaboration will be even larger than the 2006 version,
including major participation from Syracuse University, SUNY ESF as
well as support from Le Moyne College, Empire State College and others.
