Please avoid carrying any syrup, as liquid medicines attract a lot of questions from officials at the airport

Carry a limited quantity on medicines, as most of them would be available, since all medicines come with an expiry, know the quantity that you will use before spending.

It is mandatory to hold a Medical Prescription with the quantity of each medicine mentioned on it to carry it with you.

The above medications can be bought at any local shop around your house in limited quantity only, as generally purchasing a good quantity shall attract problems for the usage of it.

The above medications have been consulted and documented here with my consultation to a friend of mine who is an MBBS, MD Medicine in AIIMS Delhi.

I would still suggest you to refer your family doctor before going in for any purchase of the same.

For any help and usage of it or any kind of details, feel free to contact me.

Thanks

Rohan Khanduja

Great job Rohan, thats a very exhaustive list!

May I add that minor medical applications such as Strepsils and Vicks are available over the counter at low prices. The most expensive meds are antibiotics and those related to ear/throat pain - we need to carry especially those. You don't have to worry and stockpile every possible thing though; should we require any additional medication in the future, it can be sent from India though post (with a prescription attached to the parcel).

And I second Rohan with consulting your doctor before making the purchase. No one can provide better advice than a medical professional you trust.
