Hi fellow syntheists,

Are you familiar with Erik Davis? I've recently stumbled upon one of his talks and found some of his ideas extremely interesting.

His main book is called "Techgnosis: Myth, Magic and Mysticism in the Age of Information" and seems to treat themes very similar to Alexander's Syntheism book.

Here's one of his talks:

Absolutely, Alex!
Erik Davis is a long-time friend and - if I remember things correctly - he even made an interview with me in the U.S.when my first book with Jan Söderqvist, "The Netocrats", was published there.
We all work in the traingulation between technology, psychedelics and spirituality. Needless to add perhaps, the Burning Man movement has been a common platform for years. As is now the Syntheist cause.
Erik should write more though, as in write books, he's too much of a journalist and not enough of a philosopher to be in tune with his true capacities. We need a new "Techgnosis" by now.
Best
Alexander

The dissemination of myths have always relied on information technologies.  They're inseparable. Techgnosis sounds like a good conceptual framework for this.
