Hexagona global leader in mining technology, has unveiled HxGN MinePlan Block Model Manager, a groundbreaking solution that aims to transform how mining companies manage block models. This innovative solution enables users to simultaneously design, populate, manage, and effectively share block models while centrally managing the massive amount of sample points, variables, and outputs associated with orebody data.

MinePlan Block Model Manager addresses these challenges while allowing multiple users to collaborate on the same project and share their progress seamlessly while maintaining version integrity and tracking edit history. With this new solution, mining companies can streamline their workflows and improve data interpretation, leading to smart decisions and operational efficiencies.

One of the key benefits of the MinePlan Block Model Manager is the ability for project stakeholders to visualise changes to the model as it progresses through the hands of technical experts. This enhances auditability and information quality, culminating in improved reporting. The block model solution streamlines the data transfer workflow, loading large models faster, improving productivity by reducing time spent from sample point to decision, accelerating the modeling process.

The new Block Model Manager Application Programming Interface (API) automates integration with other systems, enabling data interoperability into downstream mine design and scheduling workflows, removing the need to manually import or export the block model. This is the critical first step towards enabling mining organisations to have a smart platform from one technology partner for software, hardware, and analytics with one consistent experience for implementation, services, and support.

In statistical mechanics, the hard hexagon model is a 2-dimensional lattice model of a gas, where particles are allowed to be on the vertices of a triangular lattice but no two particles may be adjacent.

From entry-level CMMs that deliver dependable measurement performance for basic inspection needs to ultra-high accuracy machines for applications requiring the utmost precision, there is a Hexagon bridge model for every dimensional inspection task.

Marketing funnels have had a bit of time in the sun lately. Mark Ritson believes they are the cornerstone of every marketing strategy detailing their importance in prioritisation as opposed to literal application.

This interlinked model allows all points to be connected to all potential decision nodes. The benefit being there are no pre-formulated pathways or directions. As each node is linked to every other node this theoretically represents a vast number of potential paths to purchase.

What those paths are and where they sit with regard impact volume will act as a guide to where marketers should invest to either optimise or grow. This is the key application. Marketers could utilise all those newly-hired data scientists to develop and articulate these probabilities using behavioural data.

Marketers have limited assets but mapping out the above and by using Bayesian probabilistic estimates and methodologies you can prioritise where you invest your cash to maximise penetration. What are the most likely routes to sale in your category or for your brand? Which nodes are important, which less so? Is your brand different from the category? Are you investing in a way that leaves cash on the table?

Another, perhaps simpler application is that expert researchers could identify new metrics to rank brands based on comparative node scores. This would diminish the probabilistic nature of the model and its newness but it could still be useful (even if a lot closer to old funnel thinking).

Both applications provide clear strategic diagnostic capability when contextually compared to the category as they could show weakness or strength, or movement versus a base. Measuring changes over time to identify trajectories would be the next step down in terms of measurement but no less important.

It requires a new way of thinking and further development from a mathematical and measurement perspective but hopefully having brought it to light, better minds can build and enhance and we can finally leave the funnel behind in the 18th century.

Share of voice is a key metric for setting budgets and predicting growth, but digital media make it impossible to calculate accurately. Understanding your share of search queries is a simple and elegant alternative.

I am looking at adding a hexagon or honeycomb type pattern to a part in fusion. looking at pocketing out the hexagons leaving a lighter weight structure with the ribs still in place to offer some stiffness. Is there a quick way to do this that anyone has found? I dont want to have to draw and space all of the hexagons(or other shapes) if there is a simpler way. @Vince.Fab I know you have done something similar in some of your aluminum parts in the past. Thanks!

I find myself using the rectangular pattern feature (in sketch mode) very often. Combining two of these (shifted by half a period) from one single hexagon shape should get you there very quickly

The way fusion generates the model leaves THREE bodies here. If the construction is done using TWO circles in the second sketch, one offset by 6mm in X and 10.392 in y, then one rectangular pattern using both will produce the hex grid in one shot, giving a single body.

Very, very new to blender and would appreciate your patience with me. I worked for two days straight for this without success and did several web searches, watched many youtube videos that were remotely related.

Please see below what inspired me for attempting this. I just wanted to test myself to see if I can reproduce this model in blender but failed doing so even before reaching to the stage of twisting the walls about 90 degrees between the bottom and top. I hope the picture is adequate to represent what I am trying to reproduce. At this stage, I would be content having this modeled without the rotation stated above and seen in the actual item.

I am trying to create a custom pat file and not having luck. It is a stretched hexagon. I started with a honeycomb pat file that I found on revitforum, but now I need something more accurate. I tried writing my own, but it tells me no pattern found. I have attached my file so far, as well as an image of my desired shape (custom tile). I don't know why pat files confuse my brain so much.

Hey! Great pat file. Works like a charm. I tried to recreate it for a symetrical hexagon with 12.5sm side, but I couldn.t figure out how you got the numbers in red, so I couldn't calculate them in my case. Could you help out and explain how to get the needed numbers? Thanks a lot.

Sorry not getting how you get some of the numbers, can you explain it a little more? I have a tile pattern the designer wants in the file. It is 8" tall x 6" wide but in a hexagon pattern angle is 63.43495.

Hello,

Has anyone got a .pat file for the regular honeycomb pattern ? I've been trying to find it for the past 30 minutes but no luck. I don't understand why it's not implemented in Revit in the first place.

I've tried adding the acad.pat file and other honeycomb.pat files from RevitCity but I ALWAYS get this error message : "IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND PATTERN TYPE MODEL"

Hi guys, I work in film and television. I have been asked to make a snoot for a light. The snoot is a box that fits on a light and focuses the beam. At the end of the snoot will be a honeycomb pattern made up of 1/4" hexagons. I need to make the honeycomb 14.5" by 11.75" and the honeycomb depth will be 1.5" I am having trouble making the honeycomb. Anyone have an idea?

In the first two papers in this series we considered an extension of the hard hexagon model to a solvable two-dimensional lattice gas with at most two particles per pair of adjacent sites, and we described the local densities in terms of elliptic theta functions. Here we present the mathematical theory behind our derivation of the local densities. Our work centers onq-analogs of trinomial coefficients.

HEXAGON, as behavioural model, has to be simple and easy to apply by a Leader and everyone in her Team. A team can initiate its own "forging process" similar to a sword forging. The starting point to develop the WINNING TEAM ethos could be the 18-hour dedicated "The WINNING TEAM" workshop delivered by the author (Rafal Milek-Horodyski (operating since 1996 in CEE, Netherlands, Greece, France, Germany, Norway, Sweden).

HEXAGON model works when applied in its entirety - all 6 elements executed with equal attention and passion by Leader and all Team Members; the outcome: sustained, exceptional performance & pride and lasting engagement & agility.

* SYNCHRONIZATION - when Leader and Team Members interact, professionally or privately, they demonstrate the same level of engagement/commitment in whatever they do. They act like members of the best symphonic orchestra or jazz band during the most important performance of their lives. Nobody, in perception of others, is doing anything else than the rest even for a moment. The point is to raise/sustain motivation through synchronising-with-others-experience on physical & mental level (perceived by all body receptors & emotional perception). At the same time Altruistic Punishment phenomenon, extensively researched and quantified in task/functional groups has no space to appear and erode engagement.

* SYMMETRY - when the Team is ideating, exchanging ideas/viewpoints during brainstorming or brain-writing, all contribute equally. The inputs are symmetrical, like elements of a mosaic readied for assembling. All the concepts are treated as equal until openly assessed using pre-set criteria/method; the choice of the highest-contribution-option is made finally.
