There is a movie which goes into how the the U.S. funded the Muslim resistance in Afghanistan. I think it's called "Charlie's War."
The sad truth is that after the Russians left Afghanistan the U.S. ignored the needs of the people and the Taliban took over out of necessity.
Somebody had to run things!
Some people think that Iran is a "Theocracy" or a state based on religion. My Muslim friend Mutahir Ahmed doesn't think that Iran is truly Muslim. He said that there is nothing in the Koran which says it is OK to stone people to death. So perhaps it isn't really a theocracy.
I don't think Iran is interested in "nuking us." I think they are worried we will bomb them. You're right about a lot of things you say about Israel, although I think that Israel and the U.S. are trying to dominate the world, especially the Middle East, and Iran is a problem. Iraq has already been taken out and so has Libya. The sticking point is Iran.
I see it as part of a larger plan for world domination for the sake of world government "by money." There is already a plan for a "world currency."
I could be wrong however it seems like it's "all about money" for the purpose of control.
Americans are highly programmed to believe we are the "good guys" in global affairs. However, that is wrong in many instances.
For example, did you know that the U.S. overthrew a democratically elected government in Iran in 1953? Check out the Wikipedia article on it.
"The 1953 Iranian coup d'état (known in Iran as the 28 Mordad coup[3]) was the overthrow of the democratically elected government of Iranian Prime Minister Mohammad Mosaddegh on 19 August 1953, orchestrated by the intelligence agencies of the United Kingdom and the United States under the name TPAJAX Project.[4] The coup saw the transition of Mohammad-Rezā Shāh Pahlavi from a constitutional monarch to an authoritarian one who relied heavily on United States support to hold on to power until his own overthrow in February 1979.[5]"
It was all about the Oil of Iran and who would control it. The U.S. and Britain wanted B.P. to control it ( under a different name ) and the Iranians wanted to control it themselves.
In 1951, Iran's oil industry was nationalized with near-unanimous support of Iran's parliament in a bill introduced by Mossadegh who led the nationalist parliamentarian faction. Iran's oil had been controlled by the British-owned Anglo-Iranian Oil Company (AIOC).
So from my perspective Iran is about oil more than religion. It's about control of the Middle East more than nuclear weapons. It's about World Government more than democracy in the Middle East.
Any nation which has nuclear power has nuclear weapons, just not necessarily ATOMIC weapons. They can make "depleted uranium" weapons like those the U.S. used in the Iraq war. These are horrible weapons which spread vast amounts of deadly radioactive dust into the environment. Do a search on it:
Any nation which has nuclear power can make "dirty bombs" with regular explosives like TNT. Can you imagine what would happen if someone detonated a regular explosive attached to 20 pounds of spent nuclear fuel 10,000 feet over New York City? I suspect nobody would want to live in that city for 300 years!
