Is there a way dump the Synergy Informix repository such that it could be accessible outside of Synergy? If so: is there a way to calculate the necessary disk space for this dump; how would the binaries be "dumped"?

Any assistance would be GREATLY appreciated!!

Hello Angela,

one should be able to "dump" the Informix portion of a Synergy Repository (only the meta-data that is) via "ccmdb dump <database_path> -to <dump_filename>" command.

After that command finished, you can most definitely "access" the <dump_filename>, but I am not sure how good that data format of the dump file can be processed on your end.

Keep in mind that Informix only holds the Meta-data of your repository data .. the second part would be your file system portion to form a complete image of your Synergy repository.

Hope that info helps somewhat ;)

Thanks Rudi!
Does the cc deb dump command use the informix dbexport command. Is it possible to use the informix command and would it provide any better information?
Thanks!
Angela
