Crane Aerospace & Electronics seeks a Systems Analyst II for our Burbank, CA location

The Systems Analyst II with focus on Administration, and Business Analysis representing the Engineering Tools team and is responsible for understanding, developing, testing, supporting, and maintaining Crane Enterprise Development Engineering Tools. This position must be involved in analyzing development business processes and matching them with appropriate technology solutions for improving process efficiency.

The Systems Analyst II brings the necessary skills and in-depth understanding of the Systems/Software Change and Development Lifecycle processes to be able to recommend, design and implement processes and enhancements to the tools across all Crane Solution sites.

Accountabilities:

• Be the primary representative of the Engineering Tools team at the Burbank office location.
• Have an authoritative understanding of Change Management, Configuration Management, and Software Source Control.
• Support tool upgrades and licensing efforts across the Burbank site.
• Be a part of the business process analysis at the Burbank site for processes managed by the engineering tools.
• Create documentation of processes and instruct others in how to accurately execute them.

Minimum Qualifications:

• BS/BA from an accredited university or work related experience in technical related field
• 3 years’ experience in business process analysis
• 3 years’ experience in Systems/Software Development Lifecycle

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Documentation writing skills for technical and non-technical audiences
• Knowledge of business process analysis, with a focus on development lifecycle
• Windows and Linux experience preferable
• Perl and Shell scripting experience is a plus
• XML/DTD/XSL experience is a plus
• Rational Change and Synergy admin and advance user knowledge is a plus.
  

Additional:

This role is an important placement at our Burbank, California facility. The candidate must do very well at working on their own in a distributed team. The candidate will need excellent communication skills and will need to be self-directed in most tasks. Strong problem solving skills are required. Travel from 5 to 10% might be required to other sites.

This position requires a full time onsite person in Burbank.  While the team does work remote from time to time, the position requires face to face interaction with Engineering.
