Hi Terri,
I haven’t actually tried to do this but according to the documentation (http://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSRNYG_7.2.1/com.ibm.rational.synergy.manage.doc/topics/sc_t_h_create_type.html)
you should be able to do a
ccm typedef –stf template_file
Maybe play with a test database first to see how that works for you.
