All,

I have submitted and RFE to upgrade jetty to 64 bit for the current version of change.  We are seeing issues on our 5.2 version and we are limited to under 4G of virtual memory due to 32bit limitation and having the 64 jetty will offer more flexibility in memory management.

Please vote for the RFE

I’d be interested to learn what type of issues you are encountering due to the 32bit limitation of jetty? Is this something you could share?

I would have thought that some of the underlying java classes (32bit) would cause more of an issue, I know that is true for the Synergy GUI.

I thought Change could now run on Tomcat (which can be 64 bit?) Would that not solve the problem?

Rudi,

The issue we are having is that change either crashes or becomes so slow it is not usable which forces us to restart.  We currently on 5.2.0.6 with a dev patch and we are waiting to upgrade to 5.2.0.8 ifix1 which resolve an issue of communication with license server that IBM thinks may be causing our issue.  We also noticed that DOORS integration might be another reason since DOORS queries change while applying RCRs multiple time.  We recently moved DOORS integration to new port and now monitoring if moving DOORS traffic to it resolves our issue.

Peter,

Thanks for the info. I was not aware that we can do that.  I will look into it and see if we can move to it.
