Hello, folks. It is time to decide what features make it into the
first release, and what waits for a future release.

I'm anticipating a timescale of 4-6 weeks for us to come up with an
alpha release candidate. After we agree the features, it will still be
possible to shoehorn more in, but small things only.

This is what I plan on doing:
* Preferences.
* Anything that still needs doing to fix the list views.

This is what needs doing:
* Graphics and branding.
* Minimal installation - zip file for Windows, maybe a tarball for Linux.

Share your plans, then we will set ourselves a deadline.

I'd be willing to make an Installer package along with a .dmg disk
image once it's done, but that's in the future...

- I'd get rid of the web links on the side. Not sure if we should
replace them somewhere else or just keep them out, but that's
something we'd have to decide.
- More platform specifics with regard to platform. Means more code,
but also means others are more familiar with the interface once it's
done.
- Merge Options and Preferences. No need for two separate items.

That's all I can think of at this point.

The web links are provided by the projects. I don't see any sensible
plan for cleaning them up this iteration. Next round, I plan to move
them to the menubar under "Project".

Small platform fixes will be fine. We need to weigh the benefits of
platform-compliance, and a standard Synecdoche interface. Platform
conventions such as menus should absolutely be followed.

Merging options and preferences will be part of the preference cleanup
I'm already working on.
