Attempting to install SyncMyCal_2_8_288.exe on a new machine, the installer insists on attempting to update the VC++ 2010 run-time library. There is no option to avoid installing the library. Because we have a proxy at work, and there is no way around it, the installer fails to update the library and aborts. I have contacted SyncMyCal many times over the past year about this issue, I get no response from their help ticketing system and direct e-mails.

I was very satisfied for the brief few months that it did work. Because of the nature of their installer, and the folders used by SyncMyCal, it was flagged as a potential threat by our mal-ware / anti-virus at the corporate level. This could not be ignored by a user. This in effect rendered the program useless.

When the authors released a new version to correct, I could not install it again.

Lesson learned, do not expect much out of a company that is not established and sells something for $25.

If you are debating purchasing this do not bother, it is already a dead product, forget about it.
