all events downloaded with status set to BUSY, can't change this?

all events imported from google are default to BUSY status, which
creates conflicting problems in outlook scheduling (and also silences
my phone which is configured to switch to vibrate when i have a
calendar event marked BUSY). this is a problem when sync'ing non-
meetings like birthdays, events, weather which are also marked as BUSY
in outlook.

there needs to be an option to default sync'ed or downloaded events to
a different status e.g. FREE
