Windows 8?

I have been using SyncMyCal on a WIndows XP machine running Office 2010.  I've now upgraded t Windows 8 but can't get it to install because "A newer version of Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable has been detected on the machine."

Anyone know a way around this to get SyncMyCal to run?  I don't know what I am going to do without it on my new machine!

I've just been moved to a new laptop, tried to reinstall SMC, and hit the same thing. Did you find a way around this in the end?

Nope.  I had to switch to gSyncIt.

Hi Sommer

Just wanted to say thanks for the pointer. I've installed and tested gSyncIt, and it not only works but looks significantly more flexible than SyncMyCal. Plus there are regular releases, so it looks like it's still supported. On the whole a positive change. :-)
