Windows surface scanner is a hard drive tool to help locate unreadable blocks on your hard drive and relate those blocks to certain parts of the file system. This tool can be used to diagnose certain characteristics that may be exhibited upon boot-up or during service that are directly related to unreadable blocks on a hard drive. As an example, if a drive has an unreadable block where the Master Boot Record is located this will cause the system to hang on boot. If the drive is a secondary or slave drive the drive may also be exhibited as a raw device.

This ET51 offering includes an ergonomically designed protective frame that provides a drop specification of 1.2 meters/4 feet to concrete surfaces. The Corning Gorilla Glass display provides shatter- and scratch-resistance, protecting one of the most vulnerable components on any tablet.

The new ET51 8 in. tablet with integrated scanner also supports third-party payment expansion backs available from MTI to enable a fully mobile payment (mPOS) solution. Ingenico, Verifone, PAX and Miura payment terminals are supported as well as magnetic swipe (MSR) and Smartcard reader options.

Surface Monitoring gives a comprehensive view of your attack surface, while Application Scanning provides deeper insights into custom-built applications. We recommend combining both products for the most comprehensive attack surface coverage.

Are there any users out there that have the perfect barcode scanner that works wonderfully with Epicor software?
We are looking to just be able to scan the barcode for the part number; scan the job#, enter the quantity and have it issued to the job.
Thanks for any and all suggestions.

The Attack Surface Scanner is easy to run; you just need to specify where to store the resulting .cab files. Once a .cab has been generated, you can run the tool again and use it to generate an attack surface report, which is a comparison of two .cab files, one generated before a change was made to a system and the second after.

Now that you have your Scanner / Printer set up, you can start scanning documents. Put your document or photo face down on the scanner bed and close the cover. Then use the keyboard shortcut Windows Key + X to display the power user menu and select Control Panel.

@david: Any modern printer or scanner will work. I guess it depends on what you need. Do you want an All-in-One printer. The one I have and use in this article is a Canon MP495 which is probably 2 years old now.

I have an HP Photosmart, wireless B210 and the RT linked to it without a problem. My CCD hand scanner, used admittedly just for barcode (ISBN) scans is a cheapie SKY unit. I have had no trouble connecting any device to the printer including my Kindle Fire.

While 3D scanners are great at capturing most surfaces, some types of surfaces cause the light to be distorted in such a way that it interferes with the data acquisition process. They affect how the 3D scanner views the object and consequently affect how it takes the images.

Sometimes doing slight adjustments in the way you scan an object can have a big impact on your results. When scanning shiny surfaces, scan at a slight angle and distance. Light then diffuses instead of bouncing directly back into the 3D scanner which is the source of the problem.

3D scanners are getting better and better at 3D scanning challenging surfaces as technology becomes more sophisticated over time. With the Artec Leo, we scanned the tailgate of a black truck outdoors without any issues.

To summarize, here is a video where Tom explains the step-by-step process of scanning challenging surfaces using a metal part (shiny surface), a mouse (black surface), and a glass bottle (clear surface).

A new and enhanced precision instrument for CAD users and engineers, Artec Space Spider is a high-resolution 3D scanner based on blue light technology. It is perfect for capturing small objects or intricate details of large industrial objects in high resolution, with steadfast accuracy and brilliant color.

Connect the lightweight, 0.85kg 3D scanner to the Artec battery pack, which provides up to 6 hours of power, and you can scan practically anywhere, even in areas where there is no source of electricity.

For capturing larger objects, or for creating an automatic scanning system, several 3D scanners can be bundled and synced together. You can also integrate the scanners into your own customized solutions, fit for industrial applications, using the free of charge Artec Scanning SDK.

No. Space Spider requires neither targets nor calibration to get started. The scanner uses powerful hybrid geometry and texture tracking to capture the objects in 3D, even those with limited features. Space Spider collects two sets of data by which to track and to perform processing and this results in much easier, faster, and smoother 3D scanning, as well as faster data processing in comparison to scanners that require targets for scanning.
