Theform as a defining feature of an oral tradition dates back to early classical antiquity,[9][10] where it played an important part of early hexameter poetry for oral bards like Homer and Hesiod.[11][12]
The list song is a frequent element of 20th-century popular music and became a Broadway staple.[19] Cole Porter, Irving Berlin, Nol Coward, and Stephen Sondheim are composers and lyricists who have used the form.[20][21] The very first commercial recording of a Cole Porter tune was his list song "I've a Shooting Box in Scotland" originally from See America First (1913).[22][23] Berlin followed soon after with the list song "When I Discovered You" from his first complete Broadway score Watch Your Step (1914).[24]
Irving Berlin would likewise often write songs in the genre; notable examples include "My Beautiful Rhinestone Girl" from Face the Music (1932), a list song that starts off with a sequence of negative similes,[33] "Outside of That I Love You" from Louisiana Purchase,[34] and "Anything You Can Do (I Can Do Better)" a challenge-duet, and Berlin's starkest antithesis-driven list song,[35] "You Can't Get a Man with a Gun",[36] and "Doin' What Comes Natur'lly",[37] all three from the 1946 musical Annie Get Your Gun.
The + button in the upper left corner displays a menu of options for adding songs to the list. From here you can create new songs, import songs from your computer, or add existing songs to existing books or sets.
You can delete songs from your library or remove them from the selected book or set by selecting the song and then pressing the Delete key on your computer keyboard. You will be prompted to ensure you don't accidentally delete the song. The song will then be either removed from the selected book or set, or deleted from your library.
For the early qualifiers you can select any song Princess has in their licensed Karaoke library. You can not just use any song you can find on line. Just like any karaoke session you can move the key up or down. You sing around two minutes of the song before it is cut off. Attached is an extensive list of Princess' available karaoke tracks.
The finals are very different. If selected you are provided with a list of around 150 songs. Roughly half generally sung by males and half generally female. The live musicians have charts with fixed keys. No changes. These songs are also short versions of about 1 1/2 to 2 minutes. You select one of those songs and practice with the live band. There will probably be a couple of practice sessions, one to finalize your song and the other an on stage rehearsal.
the feature of song suggestions is fantastic as it allows me to discover new music on the fly and make completely improvised mixes. Sometimes I wish it would cast a wider net and that I could also filter matched songs with key, bpm, label or style.
While doing housework, I was grooving on a great song from Alison Krauss that I hadn't heard in a while (probably because I hadn't played that station in a while) and noticed I hadn't thumbed it up yet. About that time I lost my wi-fi and Pandora switched to one of my offline stations. I rushed back to my wi-fi reception area, frantically switched back to the original channel and, of course, Pandora starts playing another song and has lost my recent history for that station.
i'd love to be able to see the list of songs i listened to last saturday, so i could go try to find the tabs or chords. i discover so much new music using pandora - NOT having this feature may encourage me to quit paying for it and move to a service that does have an easy-to-use history feature.
Storing a JSON list of artist : song takes a lot of memory? If yo you're doing it wayyyyyyy wrong. That's a ridiculous excuse considering how cheap storage is and how little data actually needs to be stored.
Not buying this. Scrolling through your recently played music used to be a thing. Granted I've been using pandora for give or take over a decade but it definitely was a thing at some point. For what ever right, wrong or indifferent reason it's not anymore. This is supposed to be a music discovery platform. How are we supposed to discover music if I can't go back and see what songs have played over time. It's not realistic to have to run to the device to thumbs up the song for every new one I hear. You have my vote to bring this feature back.
Today I logged into my Pandora Account for the 1st time in years.I remember that I was in love with many songs that I used to listen to on Pandora years ago. But I don't remember the names of many of them nor the radio station they were on. For example, I remember one of the songs had the word "April" in the title but I don't remember what station it was on, nor the artist's name. Is there any way to see all of the songs that rotate on each station, or a history of the songs I listened to going back years, or do I have to listen to all my stations 1 by 1 until I hopefully find the song? Thanks for anyone who replies.
See this screenshot - this is the second song that has played so far in this listening session - behind this track you can partially see the album artwork of the track that played before this one did.
While I don't have screenshots of this process on mobile, it works similarly. After you have listened to multiple tracks in the same listening session, if you navigate to the now playing screen, you can swipe to the left or to the right to view what tracks played in that same session.
Flash71, Im not sure if this is any help but I figured what the hey. In the search bar I typed in Best Coast. Once they turned up I clicked on Stations, they came up Best Coast Radio. I hope it was something you were looking for. Take care.
Don't worry - it's quick and painless! Just click below, and once you're logged in we'll bring you right back here and post your question. We'll remember what you've already typed in so you won't have to do it again.
Unfortunately, we don't currently have a list of hidden tracks. But you can see the songs you've hidden in every playlist by activating the option Show unplayable songs in your app settings. With this feature active, all hidden songs will appear grayed out on the playlist, but you can unhide them by hitting the button "Unhide''.
Also, a similar idea about a hidden song list was already posted by another user here - Feel free to add your vote by hitting the thumbs up button to show your support for it and keeping in mind that Spotify will check it out if it reaches the necessary amount of votes.
Le problme est que Spotify ne nous propose automatiquement plus cette chanson, vu qu'on l'a note comme "dislike". Donc je n'arrive pas retrouver certaines chansons. C'est vraiment dommage qu'une telle liste n'existe pas.
