Step 3 Insert GIFs
You need to search for GIFs online and download them to your laptop. GIFs with a clear background will work the best. Click the subtopic and insert a local image or drag the GIFs to the subtopic box directly.

This short guide reveals the benefits of visuals for user engagement and persuasion. You'll see how to structure the data into a more coherent, impactful flow with graphic designs from VistaCreate and mind mapping instruments from XMind for the audience to understand your points, step by step.
Since humans don't organize information in a hierarchical order but build associations from different connection points in the brain, mind maps seem the most suitable way to replicate this process. By presenting information with mind mapping, you help the audience navigate your ideas, build connections faster, and see how they relate to each other.
Long story short: Mind mapping makes it easier for people to understand the info you want to deliver. With the help of a mind map that was professionally designed with an eye-catching graphic template, you get a highly effective tool for communicating with your targets.
And here goes an example of how the chemistry between graphics and mind mapping works. The mind map template library of VistaCreate has layouts for presenting different types of information with creativity and more haunting visibility.
As a rule, mind map layouts place the main topic at the center. Such templates are great for presenting a few concepts with many related subtopics growing from your central idea: They provide more space for all the other elements.
However, if you want to present only one concept and its branches, you can choose a VistaCreate template with a primary idea on the left of your mind map, with enough space to develop related subtopics on the right.
Now that you have a graphic template for presenting your information, it's time to fill it out. You'll need to come up with core points related to your central claim and put them inside the corresponding places of your mind map.
With XMind, you can unleash creativity and use features like Stickers, Illustrations, Floating Topics, and Markers to support your mind map with bright details. You can also capture your work with Map Shot, for more people to see it!
In this crowded world of social media, XMind not only offers tools to help users better focus on organizing and developing individual ideas but also allows them to share mind maps with others for various purposes via different formats and social platforms.
A link to a document is the quickest method for a user to share his or her work with the outside world, without restrictions on any platform. Imagine that an experienced XMind user has graphed a well-organized mind map about project management. Creating a link to the map, whether later send to the company boss for review or share with more people on the internet, is the most convenient sharing option. People with the link will be able to check the mind map in web browser directly (same with the app version, even the inserted moving GIF will be kept). We offer two link options as below:
XMind users with special purposes will export their mind maps in file formats. In order to facilitate most users, our team makes it possible to export XMind graphs in almost every popular file format including PDF, Word, Excel, Markdown, OPML, and TextBundle. Please refer to the following list to see which file export works the best for your need.
Thanks for your time reading! Hope this article helps you to know more about a powerful feature of XMind. Smash that Share button and share your mind maps to the world! As always, have fun mind mapping with XMind.
MindManager, on the other hand, has a more clear cut flow. Like Xmind, it supports keyboard shortcuts and it also has buttons to add topics with your mouse. The logic for moving, snapping, and aligning topics in different places feels more intuitive than Xmind, while the snappy animation makes it feel less organic than Ayoa.
Ayoa Ultimate takes it up a notch by combining the features of Ayoa Task and Mind Map with AI support, Live map collaboration, Interactive whiteboards, Gantt charts, and additional integrations. You can also save more when you add more people to your team on Ayoa.
Xmind is ideal for lightweight note-taking, small personal projects, or sharing updates and road maps with customers as a startup. MindManager has many features made for team collaboration and creating long-term business documentation. And Ayoa is perfect for creating fun, organic mind maps that enhance creativity and innovation while solving complex problems or learning complex topics.
I prefer to have a plugin similar to excalidraw developed by @zsviczian . So that I can both edit and embed xmind files within my obsidian vault without going outside. Anyway for now at least I am in need of the functionality of embedding my existing .xmind files. It would be a great help if someone could help me in this. And I think this will be helpful for many users.
This is a great solution. I will consider using this for any simple mindmap. But xmind has some extra features such as floating Topic, Different types of Tree Diagrams and Styles. Can customize the look and feel to highlight important stuffs. And also can fold the nodes when not required to see it fully. So I like to have something for xmind.
Update:
Running ./XMind from the terminal works as expected.
Running the whole path /home/user01/.installed/xmind-8-linux/XMind_amd64/XMind creates an error.
When the error happens the application creates a configuration folder in / directory, which is normally located in the same folder as the executable. I still don't understand what's happening here.
I'd also recommend moving the .desktop file from /usr/share/applications to /home/user01/.local/share/applications/, since, if you store the application within your home directory, it's probably an application just for you, rather than all users on the system.
Since 2007, Xmind has been the owner of the XMIND trademark with mind mapping and related software. Since sales of XMIND software began, wholesale sales of such software have amounted to many millions of dollars. In addition, as noted, software marketed under the XMIND trademark has received favorable media and industry attention for providing mind mapping solutions.
Snap is available for CentOS 7.6+, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.6+, from the Extra Packages for Enterprise Linux (EPEL) repository. The EPEL repository can be added to your system with the following command:
Thanks for the conbtribution. My need is to keep this mindmap available for someone else with whom this note/mindmap is shared. But this person doesn't need the last update (every 5 minutes) which burns my 60 Mo quotas ;-/.
Imho, this would imply a major shift in direction for Joplin, meaning this comes with disadvantages like "dev resources spreading thing across multiple features" versus "focusing on doing one thing really well".
But the graphical rendering is quite hard. For example yED does this fairly well. Their approach is "every model is UML" with nodes (objects and shapes) and edges (lines and arrows). yED lets you add and edit every object on a canvas or import it as data.
However, as a graphic design, mindmap requires a certain amount of development resources, and it can only be a simple version, just like xmind zen.
But for Joplin, this means that it is bulky, slow to load, and difficult to adapt across platforms.
We want to implement as much functionality as possible in one software, but this has many implications.
I think that mind maps are best made with third-party software, because if Joplin is implemented, it will be much larger and loading speed may be affected.
Even the mindmap module is larger than Joplin itself.
There are multiple libraries that can be used to create interactive graphs, where you also can label the edges, and make the graph time-depended if you like it to be ...
i.e. the graph only show nodes within a given time period ...
generate XMind mind-maps from scratch (for example to visualizesome data as a mind-map),
Displaying the central topic and building a stress-free scene, here, you can take all attention on recording the inspiration and sparkles in your mind. Then, you'll find the solution is hidden within them. More important, we can discover it by evaluating, organizing and connecting the ideas.
And thanks to our most recent update, you can now also view your entire MindMeister dashboard right inside Microsoft Teams, enabling you to organize and manage all your mind maps without having to switch between the two tools!
XMind allows for literally oodles of customisation, including changing the way branches are drawn, changing the font flobally or for any individual element (and other font formatting across elements), and changing the background colour. (You can export with transparent backgrounds, too.)
In researching Mind Mapping programs over the last week, I think I've more LOST my mind than figured out the answer to my question! There are a LOT of mind mapping programs, many with similar features. Most in fact are similar.
I was told Xmind. Really? Having looked at Xmind and a dozen others, I wasn't necessarily impressed with that program. Possibly from just my ignorance of its capabilities? But I found no Scheduling options or phone integration.
