Every time I open Netflix in Firefox browser, to watch streaming movies, it won't show them but keeps taking me to a page asking me to log in again or pay for a Netflix account. (attached)I already have a Netflix account and can watch streaming movies with no problems on other browsers, but not using Firefox, which is my Default browser.

I suspect your HTTP cookies were cleared. In case you're confused, think of HTTP cookies as small pieces of information that websites store on your computer or device when you visit them. It's like a little note that a website leaves behind to remember you.

Imagine you go to a bakery, and they give you a stamp on your hand so they know you've been there. The next time you come back, they look at the stamp, and they remember what you ordered or what you liked before. HTTP cookies work in a similar way for websites.

These "HTTP cookies" are used to remember things about your visit, like what items you put in your shopping cart on an online store, your login information, or your language preferences. This makes it more convenient for you because you don't have to re-enter the same information every time you visit a website.

I have this strange issue where when watching Netflix in either IE11, Edge or Netflix App in full screen mode the display would sometimes flicker or goes black for a few seconds then back to the video. This would happen continuously every 10 second of so during playback.

I did some troubleshooting and discovered that this issue appears to be caused by Intel(R) HD Graphics 530 driver. When disabling the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950M driver, the issue still appearing. However, when disabling the 530 driver, the issue seems to go away but video became slightly choppy.

The default 530 driver what came with the PC was .4475 and I have since updated to the latest version .4627. Updating the graphic driver did not solve the issue and I also did a full uninstall and reinstallation of the driver.

I reviewed the post. We have worked as a team to figure out what the cause of the issue is. It is relating to the Microsoft Edge Browser and the Microsoft app. It has nothing to do with the bios or graphics drivers. Brilliant troubleshooting, great effort and splendid diagnosis of the issue to isolate it correctly. Kudos to you for a job well done.:)

If you are able to watch in another browser, your current browser may be experiencing an issue with the Silverlight plug-in used by Netflix. If you're unable to watch in multiple browsers, or if you prefer to use your current browser, continue to the next troubleshooting step.

Hope this helps. Let me know how this goes. I genuinely hope the issue gets resolved without hassles and the unit works great. Please reach out for any issues and I'll be there to assist you.

This issue happened when I first got the computer in March. It happened first when watching YouTube videos at full screen then I used a workaround by using software rendering to resolve the issue. Now it is happening when I am watching Netflix.

I tried with the NetFlix App and issue is happening there as well. So far it seems like only Chrome is able to handle NetFlix without the flickering. Is there any other way to troubleshoot this issue?

I tested NetFlix on all 3 applications (IE, Edge, App) and it appears that the issue with the flickering at full screen is now fixed. I am not sure if it was due to the steps you have suggested me to do or with the new MS update. This is a really strange issue.

It has been amazing working with you with such profound knowledge of computers and great technical skills. Thank you for sharing this platform and giving me the privilege to share it also. It was a tough nut to crack but we managed to work as a team to figure it out.

In today's digital age, streaming services like Netflix have revolutionized the way we consume entertainment, offering a vast library of movies, TV shows, and documentaries at our fingertips. However, figuring out how to get Netflix on TV can sometimes seem challenging. While watching Netflix on a laptop or smartphone is convenient, nothing beats the experience of enjoying your favorite content on the larger screen of your TV. This guide provides you with a step-by-step process to connect Netflix to your TV using various devices you might already have at home, including Smart TVs, gaming consoles, streaming sticks like Chromecast, Roku, and Amazon Fire Stick, and even your regular computer.

Netflix has become the go-to source for streaming TV shows and movies, but how do you get it on your TV? We'll show you how to connect Netflix to a TV so that you can watch all of your favorite content from the comfort of your living room.

The Netflix app can be found on the home screen or main menu of smart TVs that support Netflix. Try searching for Netflix in the app store on your TV to see if it's there. Then do the following steps:

Chromecast is a compact streaming device. It is connected to your TV's HDMI connection with a cable that is included. Your TV's HDMI ports are often numbered. Keep track of the number of HDMI ports you are using.

Now that you know how to connect Netflix to TV, you can enjoy watching your favorite shows and movies in high definition. We hope this guide has provided you with the information needed to successfully connect Netflix to your TV! If you have any further questions or concerns, feel free to contact us!

I'm not entirely sure if Stack Overflow is the correct website to ask this question, but I have been thinking about it ever since a friend mentioned it to me a week ago. I know on a baseline level what hardware acceleration does: offloads certain workloads to other components in your computer (i.e. your GPU or sound card) to improve performance in various applications. I just would like to know what exactly is happening when hardware acceleration is on v/s off when streaming a Google Chrome window and why it makes a difference in a completely different application.

If you're unfamiliar with what I'm referencing in the title, here's a simple example of what I mean: Let's say you want to watch a Netflix show or sporting event with your friends on Discord, so you all hop in a call together on the app to watch you stream the video in a Chrome tab. However, when your friends join the stream, they can hear the audio of what you're streaming but the video feed is blacked out for those watching. Interestingly enough, one of the solutions people have found to this issue is disabling hardware acceleration in Google Chrome's settings which allows the video and audio to be streamed no problem.

It makes sense why this occurs: to prevent potential piracy and illegal redistribution of copywrited material, but why does disabling hardware acceleration re-enable this functionality? Does hardware acceleration allow data to be shared between apps? Does Discord set a flag saying a particular window/screen is being streamed and Chrome can only "see" that flag while hardware acceleration is enabled?

I guess the underlying question is: how does having hardware acceleration enabled allow Netflix, a TV provider or any other website for that matter to know their content is being streamed?

The hardware acceleration allows the HDCP content to remain encrypted all the way to the display. By disabling it, the video is decrypted in software usually at a reduced resolution and/or frame rate.

First we want to introduce IFTTT. IFTTT is a tool where you can connect over 750+services on the internet to Discord. That means you can connect Discord to Twitter, Reddit, Facebook or even your Hue light bulbs in your house. Learn more by joining IFTTT for free today!

The Netflix Discord bot makes it easy to watch Netflix on Discord and even host a watch party with your closest friends! Netflix and Discord have teamed up to design and develop a bot called, "Hey Netflix." Once it's installed, it is easy to watch your favorite shows through Discord with anyone you wish!

When you use Discord you can often encounter black screen problems when you try streaming games. The most common reasons are graphics cards. If you frequently experience this trouble then there are ways you can fix it. Installing a new Discord version can solve a few problems. Remember that older computers also have problems, which may require upgrading a previous system.

Have you ever tried Netflix streaming? My family has been using it for a couple of years, and we've really enjoyed it, and surprisingly have found it has saved us from a bunch of DVD clutter as an unexpected side benefit.
