Hi,

This is just a friendly reminder that there is a little more than 48 hours
until the deadline for student applications for this year's program.
Any proposal will be accepted for any reason after the deadline,
27 March at 19:00 UTC.

As we mention before, you can submit your proposal to

- PSF: Any SymPy related project.
- NumFOCUS: Any SymPy related project.
- Sage: Any SymPy related project, but those that specifically support
Sage and SageMathCloud are more likely to succeed. One example is
getting CSymPy to work with Sage.
- SciRuby: CSymPy wrappers (more details). Ask @certik for more
information.
- lmonade: CSymPy projects. Ask @certik about details.
- Portland State University: CSymPy projects. Ask @certik
about details.

And you can send the same proposal to more than one organization.

Thanks,
Raniere

Hi Raniere

I'm applying this year for GSoC and my proposal covers both
CSymPy and SymPy (more CSymPy than Sympy).

So, I am applying to PSF, NumFOCUS, Sage and Portland
State University. With regard to applying under lmonade, I
can't find CSymPy in their ideas/project page. Am I supposed
to contact them before applying?

Moreover, will lmonade give preference to proposals related to
organizations presently under it?

Thanks in advance!

Regards
Shivam Vats

Great.

No need to. You already apply for all the orgs that you could.

Hi Raniere,

I have a proposal regarding CSymPy ruby wrappers. What are the orgs that I can apply to?

Abinash,

That project needs to be specifically sent to SciRuby. You can also send it to PSF and NumFOCUS, but SciRuby is the main one.

I think you can probably also send it to the "Ruby" organization. You
might want to put more introduction about why this is good for Ruby in
general.
