Hello, my name is Maximilian Herzog!
- I have about two years of programming experience with Python. Apart from my scientific studies(we need to code python notebooks to analyze and discuss our own experiment data) I am currently working on a project i contributed to during the #WirVsVirus -Hackathon in Germany, that would allow you to track unnecessary movement in order to estimate the effectivity of an exit lock.
Also, I am working on programming a game I recently discovered with some friends. It is a turn-based cybernetic simulation of managing a state. I am trying to apply reinforcement learning methods like Q-Learning to it.
- I am currently in second year of an undergraduate degree in Physics at the University of Heidelberg, Germany.
- I have particular expertise in physics. I also did a lot of extra math classes like Linear Algebra II and Numerical Analysis.(And of course the basic ones like Calculus I-III)
- I have a lot of algorithmic interest in the areas of numerical analysis and machine learning.
- I used symbolic mathematics before. I tried using Mathematica and Matlab.(e. g. Plotting wave functions for my quantum physics class or solving simple PDEs)
- I mostly use numpy in my code, but i have used sympy before, but mostly the basic functions, where numpy fails to provide functionality.
- I am from Germany, therefore my native language is German.
I am currently looking for a project. I personally find the project about Bond Graphs very interesting and would like to contribute. I will write a proposal soon!
