Hello Developers,

I am Saurabh Gupta, a third year student studying Information Technology and Mathematics at Delhi University.
I want to work with Sympy this GSOC.

The idea is to make a library or a module for all interpolation techniques like regressions, splines, newton's etc etc. and include all this in Sympy.

Please let me know, how should I proceed.

This sounds like it would be a numerical feature, which is more suited to scipy. If this is symbolic, please explain your idea more thoroughly.
