The doc that worked was https://github.com/sympy/sympy/, under "Usage in Python 3:"

"To install the SymPy for Python 3, simply run the above commands with a Python 3 interpreter."

There may be an error in the installation instructions at http://docs.sympy.org/dev/install.html, which states:

"When downloading the archive, make sure to get the correct version (Python 2 or Python 3). If you’re not sure which one to use, you probably want the Python 2 version."

I found only one archive, and I found another doc (sorry, can't find its url now) that said to use either python2 or python3 to install. This seems to have worked for me.

Hi Max,

What exactly is the correction that you propose for the docs?

That's an artifact from an older version. We no longer have separate downloads for Python 2 and Python 3.
